Joy Comes in the Morning (Mourning) is a piece inspired by Psalm 30:5. With this piece, I hope to remind viewers that whatever they are walking through is not the end of their story. God is able to transform grief into beauty and bring joy in the morning.

I created this piece during a season marked by uncertainty. I was learning to rely on the Lord even when the outcome was unclear and it seemed like there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

This work reflects the tension between sorrow and hope—the weight of mourning and the promise that it is not permanent. Through that season, I came to rest in the truth that God works all things for our good, and that on the other side of pain there is purpose.
